I came across a man peeing on the sidewalk
in the nice part of town this morning
“I won’t getcha wet,” he said
and I believed him
but I think a drop got on my leg
on that brick and blue-tiled sidewalk
on the way to the co-op
Connor Douglas Rice writes poetry in Washington, DC. He holds degrees in political science and international affairs from Florida State University.
St. Germain is wary of logic in art. His studio practice alternates between orchestrating controlled accidents and piling up material to bury the past. Like a happy-go-lucky fool, he goes wherever his intuition leads.
